Walking and Protesting
After his rehabilitation at The Psychiatric Center for Research on Regressive Tendencies, Leonard Mead goes back to his normal way of living. His normal way of living includes walking around the city of his residence. The reason why he went back to this way of living is because Leonard Mead wants to fight for the right to believe in what he wants to believe in. This is when he starts to protest for the right to do what ever you want to do including the right to walk; and also to protest the use of the television. To do this, he stands on some random street corner – a different one every day – and to hold up a sign that says, “Down with the television” or, “walk more watch less”. Leonard Mead knows for a fact that he would not get in trouble with the law for doing this, because he studied the book of law in therapy and he knows for a fact that it did not say anything about not protesting. A result of this act of protesting was that whenever someone drove by his street corner (which was very rare because no one ever left their homes anymore) was that everyone always threw their trash at him!
The Psychiatric Center for Research on Regressive Tendencies
The Psychiatric Center for Research on Regressive Tendencies is where Leonard Mead was taken by the automated talking police car when he was arrested for walking around the neighborhood. At the Psychiatric Center for Research on Regressive Tendencies, Leonard Mead has been investigated for social in addition to physical disabilities. Of course they had found out that Leonard Mead had the physical disability to watch his television set because he did not own a television set. The people at The Psychiatric Center for Research on Regressive Tendencies put Leonard Mead under close watch and physical disability therapy to ensure that he lived a normal life from now on. The tests that the people at The Psychiatric Center for Research on Regressive Tendencies is giving him include sitting at a television set and flicking through ten thousand different channels four times in a row. Leonard Mead does not like this so he tries to do the best that he can in therapy so he can go back home and continue walking like he did the rest of his previous life. In conclusion, The Psychiatric Center for Research on Regressive Tendencies is a cruel place that the law enforcement system sends people to who commit senseless crimes!
Leonard Meads Fellings on the Society
As in the previous post that I wrote on Leonard Mead, I stated that he really did not like that every one in the general population spends their entire lives watching their television sets. When Leonard Mead is outside enjoying himself, smelling the autumn air and listening to all of the sounds of nature and wilderness he feels that everyone else is just staring at the flashing lights and a blank screen and wasting their lives. Leonard Mead also feels that police cars should not be fully automated (they should not be empty vehicles with nobody in them, and making all of the decisions to arrest people based on a computer system.) Leonard Meads is totally mad and angry at the fact that a computerized car made the decision that he goes to a mental asylum just for the fact that he is walking around the neighborhood not causing any harm. The car thinks that Leonard Mead should be in his house watching his television set like the rest of the world’s population. Leonard Mead probably thinks that all of technology should be thrown away and instead of it, people should go outside and take lessons in walking and enjoying nature!
Why Not Walk?
Leonard Mead is totally obsessed with walking. He likes walking because everyone else is completely obsessed with watching television.
While Leonard Mead is out walking he thinks to himself that all people are senseless people sitting in their homes watching television. They stare at a blank screen while he is outside enjoying himself, smelling the autumn air and listening to all of the sounds of nature and wilderness.Leonard Mead stares at the senseless people in their homes and watches the flashing lights and their lights turned down low just staring blankly into space. He rarely ever sees a car go by or turn on to a road.
Leonard Mead’s shoes are probably worn out compared to everyone else’s shoes. He probably needs to buy new shoes once every two weeks from the amount of walking he does. He has walked outside every night since he was seven years old and never gets tired of walking the same routes in his neighborhood. Leonard Mead likes walking to an intersection and just staring down the road into where the road ends in everything going into a little point on the horizon. I guess Leonard Mead was just born to walk.
